TEACHER LEADER SUMMIT 2027 CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS APPLICATION WINDOW ANNOUNCED

Informational webinars on the application process will be August 19; application window opens in September

BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) is inviting educators, approved professional learning partners, and nonprofit organizations to submit presentation applications for Teacher Leader Summit 2027, which will be held June 1-3, 2027 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

The LDOE will host informational webinars on the application process on August 19, at 1 p.m. and again at 4 p.m. The application window is scheduled to open in September and close October 23. Full submission guidelines and a recording of the webinars will be posted on the LDOE website soon.

Teacher Leader Summit is the state's annual professional learning conference for Louisiana educators who work with students from birth through grade 12. Over three days, teachers, school leaders, and content experts share what's working in their classrooms, build new skills, and prepare for the school year ahead.

How to apply

Proposals are welcome from Louisiana educators, along with approved professional learning partners and nonprofits whose work aligns with Louisiana's education priorities. Applications will be submitted through Sessionboard, which will be linked on the Teacher Leader Summit webpage

Submitting a presentation application is a request for consideration and does not guarantee approval. All proposed sessions go through a review process. Selected presenters will be notified on February 15, one day before summit registration opens on February 16.

Each accepted session includes one complimentary registration for the main presenter. Additional co-presenters may register for $249 per person.
